The Pósito of Moclín. A unique experience.

After the conquest of Moclín, at the end of the 15th century, by the Catholic Monarchs, this town was incorporated into the jurisdiction of the Town hall of Granada. Among the obligations that Moclín had, along with the others that formed the «Seven Villas», was to supply grain to the city of Granada. To fulfill this task, Eras, Pósitos, and Cillas were created. The Pósito del Pan of Moclín was one of the first to be built, and dates back to the second half of the 15th century, as witnessed by the coat of arms of Felipe II on its main portal. The construction is attributed to the Italians Pedro Raxis, father of the famous artist Pedro Rojas, who at that time were in Alcalá la Real.It has been Bank of Spain, Hospital and room of celebrations. Staying in it is a magical experience at your fingertips.

It was then, that we ventured into the crazy idea of adapting it for a rural accommodation, and here we have it, a dream came true, like many others.

The house does not lack any detail. Equipped with everything you need to live in it as long as you want. With top quality appliances, with a spectacular fireplace that has a really good chimney draught. There is a television with Smart TV and internet connection, WIFI, 4 single beds and 2 double ones (with an optional travel cot), and there are also 2 sofas where you would probably prefer to sleep in the heat and close to the light of the fire.

The Pósito of Moclin houses more than 5 centuries of life that will not leave you indifferent.
The environment of the house is simply wonderful, and the landscapes are spectacular, in addition, it is nestled at the foot of a beautiful Castle and just below the church where the famous Christ of the Cloth sleeps.
From the doorstep of the Pósito begins the famous Gollizno hiking route, suitable for all public and levels, with a passage of suspension bridges that are impressively beautiful and unique. I won’t keep telling you things, as it’s your turn to discover and live them. The house maintains an ideal temperature both in winter and summer, and an electric boiler of 200 liters is installed in it so you will have enough water.
An Oven-Microwave, a refrigerator, toaster, and a coffee maker, all kinds of cutlery, blankets, sheets and clean towels, bath and cleaning utensils, board games, Play Station 2 for the little ones or the adults and many other things that you can find and enjoy in The Posito of Moclin You can also hire daily cleaning service, meals, and other extras such as firewood, a crib, etc. I invite you to try the magic of this place and share it with your closest friends.
To me the Pósito of Moclín has changed my life, it might change yours too.

TOURISM AND HIKING ROUTES

Located in a unique environment, at the foot of the beautiful Castle of Moclín. The famous Gollizno Route starts from the house (it is accessible for all ages and levels, and with different distances). In addition to the visit to the Castle, visiting the Christ of the Cloth in the church located just above the house is also a must, since it is known as one of the most miraculous Saints that have ever existed.
